Good health and wellbeing are crucial for productive study and our free and confidential health and wellbeing team is here for you. We encourage healthy lifestyles and positive mental health, which includes helping you with any study stresses and personal difficulties. It can happen to us all. SOME OF THE WAYS WE ARE HERE FOR YOU: • Nurse and medical service • Counselling (by appointment) • Mental health and wellbeing advice • Mentoring and wellbeing scheme (open door policy) • Wellbeing workshops and self-help resources OPEN DOOR POLICY The wellbeing team offers a central point of contact and an open door policy for all students. You may need support or advice for academic matters or financial issues. Perhaps you are struggling with a personal situation or something that is a barrier to studying. #UCBACTIVE Exercise is key to good mental health and we hold #UCBACTIVE events as part of our drive to encourage everyone on campus to be more active. Sessions are free and led by sports students who are qualified fitness instructors. Everyone is welcome, from gym novices and rookie runners to more advanced exercise enthusiasts.
