Our course offers you the chance to gain invaluable experience through placements and other work opportunities. Past students have worked alongside experts at the likes of Leicester Tigers Rugby Club, Aston Villa FC, West Bromwich Albion FC Women and West Midlands Fire Service PRACTICAL APPLICATION In addition to placements, you will be able to work with clients in our sports injury and massage clinics on campus, as well as gaining further real-world experience supporting events such as the London Marathon and Birmingham Half Marathon ENRICHMENT You will have access to additional qualifications and enhancement opportunities to enrich your studies, while you will also benefit from our annual Sports Performance and Rehabilitation Conference SUBJECT-SPECIFIC FACILITIES We have two purpose-built sports injury/massage clinics where our students offer a variety of services to professional athletes, students and members of the public. Our sports students also have exclusive use of our outstanding sports facilities at Moss House – including a cutting-edge gym and 35-metre indoor running track – as well as use of our Human Performance Laboratory featuring a state-of-the-art anti-gravity treadmill and further facilities at Avery Fields, which we share with leading Birmingham rugby club Bournville RFC.

The course consists of smaller group teaching, practical sessions, tutorials, field trips and sports events and work experience.

GRADUATE CAREERS Completing this course will enable you to move into a wide variety of areas within the exercise, health and wellness sector, including: • Sports/health and fitness clubs • Health farms • The leisure industry • Local authorities and the healthcare sector You can also progress onto a BA (Hons) degree offered at University College Birmingham or elsewhere.
