OVERVIEW Sports massage therapists work with clients from an array of sports, as well as helping those suffering from recreational or work-related soft tissue conditions. Our Sports Massage and Remedial Therapy course will help you develop and implement practical skills in sports massage, advanced soft tissue skills and exercise prescription for maintaining general health. This course focuses on applying your skills within a practical clinical setting to treat and support athletes as well as the general population. You will be able to gain real-world experience working in our sports injury and massage clinics as well as through a vast range of work and placement opportunities, with our past students having worked for prolific sports clubs including Aston Villa FC and Leicester Tigers Rugby Club as well as supporting at major events such as the London Marathon. When you enrol, you will automatically become a student member of the Sports Massage Association (SMA). You will also have the option of gaining further industry-accredited qualifications such as ITEC Level 4 Sports Massage or Level 2 Fitness Instructing (gym-based),* while upon graduation you can register with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), the UK voluntary regulator of complementary healthcare practitioners.

I would like to be a successful sports massage therapist. My degree will allow me to fulfil my ambition and capability to run my own business, while learning about nutrition and business management will help me achieve my goals.
