GRADUATE CAREERS Completing this course will allow you to begin pursuing a management career in the hospitality industry, with our past graduates having gone on to work in: • Hotel management • Events management • Conference and exhibition management • Food services management The industry offers further opportunities to specialise in areas such as human resources, marketing, public relations and financial management, while you can also gain entry to careers requiring a business and management qualification. Alternatively, BA (Hons) degree graduates can continue on to postgraduate level study at University College Birmingham, the University of Birmingham or elsewhere. • Resort management • Property management • Travel services

As part of the course, you will gain a wealth of real-world experience on a paid 12-month work placement. Our past students have worked with the likes of US Hotels (New England, USA), Fairmont St Andrews (Scotland), Wequassett (Cape Cod), Greenwich Country Club (Connecticut, USA) and the Royal Automobile Club (London) as well as Adare Manor Hotel (Ireland), one of the host venues for the Irish Open Golf Championship. What’s more, you won’t incur tuition fees during your placement year SPECIALISE YOUR STUDIES Whether you want to specialise in Management of Food and Beverage Operations, International Marketing or Small Restaurant Management, our course features an extensive range of optional modules that will enable you to tailor your studies to your career aims. You will also be able to conduct an in-depth study into an area of the industry that interests you for your final research project INDUSTRY APPROVED Our course is accredited by the Institute of Hospitality, providing you with additional professional recognition upon graduation SUBJECT-SPECIFIC FACILITIES We have two award-winning restaurants on campus – the Atrium and the Brasserie – which provide you with a unique behind-the-scenes view of the catering and hospitality industry during your studies.
