SUBJECT-SPECIFIC FACILITIES We have two award-winning restaurants on campus – the Atrium and the Brasserie – which provide you with a unique behind-the-scenes view of the catering and hospitality industry during your studies. You will have the chance to boost your hospitality management skills gaining experience across a range of formal and casual service styles. GRADUATE CAREERS Both the foundation and BA (Hons) degree are ideal qualifications for pursuing a management career in the hospitality and tourism industries both at home and overseas. Our graduates have gone on to careers in: • Attractions management • Hotel management • Tour operations
To arm you with invaluable work experience before you graduate, our course features a paid 12-month work placement, during which you will not incur any tuition fees. Our past students have worked at the Westin Hilton Head Island Resort and Spa (South Carolina, USA), The Peninsula (Hong Kong), The Savoy (London), Greenwich Country Club (Connecticut, USA) and Adare Manor Hotel (Ireland), one of the host venues for the Irish Open Golf Championship RESIDENTIAL VISITS Our course offers the opportunity for you to take part in a tailored destination management field study as part of an overseas residential trip, the cost of which is included in your course fees. Previous destinations have included New York, Athens and Copenhagen SPECIALISE YOUR STUDIES Your final project will give you the chance to research an area of the industry that interests you most, while our variety of optional modules will allow you to develop specialist knowledge in areas ranging from hospitality or pub operations to financial strategy and sustainability INDUSTRY APPROVED We are an ITT Centre of Excellence, while this course is also accredited by the Institute of Hospitality, providing you with professional recognition when you graduate

BA (Hons) degree graduates can also continue onto postgraduate study at University College Birmingham, the University of Birmingham or elsewhere.
You will have the opportunity to take part in residential visits overseas to enhance your learning.
