SUBJECT-SPECIFIC FACILITIES We have two award-winning restaurants on campus – the Atrium and the Brasserie – which provide you with a unique behind-the-scenes view of the catering and hospitality industry during your studies. You will have the chance to boost your hospitality management skills gaining experience across a range of formal and casual service styles. GRADUATE CAREERS Completing either the foundation degree or BA (Hons) degree will help open the doors for you to launch a management career within the hospitality and events industry, while you can also gain entry to careers requiring a business and management qualification. Our graduates have gone on to careers working in: • Hotels and accommodation • Conference and exhibition venues • Business centres

Our course will allow you to gain invaluable experience during your studies through a paid 12-month work placement at a carefully chosen hospitality and events destination. Our previous students have worked around the world at the likes of the Ritz Carlton (Naples, Florida, Colorado), The Sea Pines Resort (South Carolina), The Peninsula (Hong Kong), Dunboyne Castle Hotel and Spa (Ireland) and The Savoy (London) PRACTICAL APPLICATION In addition to your placement, you will have further opportunities to develop your skills in a practical environment working in our restaurant facilities on campus SPECIALISE YOUR STUDIES You will be able to add to your skills by specialising in a variety of subjects, with options including Gastronomy, Festivals and Events Tourism or Stadium and Arena Management. You will also develop in-depth knowledge on a subject that interests you through your final research project INDUSTRY APPROVED Our course is accredited by the Institute of Hospitality, providing you with additional industry recognition when you graduate

BA (Hons) degree graduates can also continue onto postgraduate study at University College Birmingham, the University of Birmingham or elsewhere.

You will have the opportunity to train in our award-winning campus restaurants, and put your events management experience into practice through themed events.
