OVERVIEW Nursing is much more than a job. It is a challenging and extremely rewarding vocation that makes a real difference to people’s lives, and registered nurses with the right skills, knowledge and experience for modern day practice are in high demand. Our exciting and innovative Nursing (Adult) degree course will enable you to deliver and lead on safe, effective and compassionate care for adults with a range of health conditions. Our course provides the perfect environment and opportunity for you to get hands-on training and experience. We have outstanding facilities including a replica hospital ward on campus where you can practise and hone your skills, while our network of healthcare contacts will enable you to take on invaluable industry placements in a variety of settings, from NHS Trusts to community care. You will learn from our expert clinical practitioners and develop a strong understanding of human development, key body systems, pharmacology and safe management of medicine, as well as the personal and technical skills needed to deliver compassionate, high-quality care across many different settings. We are working towards accreditation by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), enabling you to apply for Registered Nurse status when you complete your degree.

This course is based at our new Moss House campus, where we have a replica hospital ward with a simulation and clinical skills suite for you to practise and hone your skills in a real-life environment. The course will include 50% theory and 50% practice placements in a range of health care settings to help you gain the skills and knowledge to become a registered nurse.
