You could seek a position as an event manager in corporate businesses, museums, leisure centres and hotel resorts. Our graduates are also employed in a wide variety of roles and areas including: • Festivals and cultural events • Events management agencies • Destination management organisations (DMOs) • Charitable foundations • Convention, meetings and exhibition centres • Sporting events organisations • Leisure event providers Graduates who wish to continue their studies can progress to postgraduate level courses available at University College Birmingham, the University of Birmingham or elsewhere.

Our course offers you the chance to undertake a paid 12-month work placement to give you invaluable first-hand experience of the events industry, and you won’t incur any tuition fees during the placement year. Previous placements have included Maxin Prague, Marriott Grand Place (Brussels), The Peninsula (Hong Kong), Hilton Metropole and many more RESIDENTIAL VISITS You will also go on a full programme of trips, the cost of which is included in your course fees. Previous students have visited Windsor, Cardiff, York, Oxford, Liverpool, Barcelona, New York, Milan (World Expo), Valencia (Las Fallas Festival) and Seville (Feria de Abril) ENRICHMENT You will have access to additional opportunities to enrich your studies, including working on events with local partner charities and suppliers, as well as visits from a wide range of industry speakers. Recent guests have included speakers from Arena Birmingham, Weston Park Foundation and The Big Organiser INDUSTRY APPROVED Our course is accredited by the CMI, granting you a Level 5 CMI award in Management and Leadership when you graduate. You will also gain CMI membership throughout the duration of your course, giving you access to a wide range of study support resources ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS You will be supported to complete a range of CV-enhancing training opportunities, such as BIIAB Level 2 Award for Personal License Holder. You will also be able to work towards the Cvent Professional Events Management Certificate
