TUITION FEES AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
TUITION FEES • There is NO upfront payment required • The tuition fee for all BA/BSc and foundation degrees is £9,250 for new UK or EU students in the 2020/21 year • This is a yearly fee, and will increase with inflation in line with the Government’s permitted rise in subsequent years. You can apply for a government loan from Student Finance ( gov.uk/student-finance ) to cover your fees, which you will not start repaying until you leave the course and are earning over £25,725 a year • There is NO tuition fee charged to UK/ EU students for any placement activity, including full year placements THE KICK-START SCHEME For all UK, EU and Channel Isle undergraduate full-time students who are paying fees at the maximum rate, we will provide up to £300 credit to buy resources such as books, uniform and equipment to support you in your studies. If you are a UK student with a household income below £25,000, you will be entitled to a further £500 at the start of the second semester. This money does not need to be paid back and is for each taught year of your course (except if you are repeating study). Visit ucb.ac.uk/kick-start for more information.
MAINTENANCE SUPPORT Maintenance support is available from the Government through Student Finance ( gov.uk/student-finance ) to assist you with your living costs. The country you live in will determine the type and level of maintenance support you can apply for. For more information, visit ucb.ac.uk/ug-fees UNIFORM AND EQUIPMENT For certain courses, you will be required to purchase a uniform and set of equipment – you can use your Kick-Start funds towards the costs of these.
TUITION FEES FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS (NON-EU)
The tuition fee for all BA/BSc and foundation degrees is £11,500 for new international students in the 2020/21 year. To enable us to issue your CAS, you are required to pay a deposit of £4,500.
